For the accountants out there. Do you use social media? If so, do you know how to use it for your benefit and to get more leads?
Today I’m going to be telling you how you can get more from your social media which will eventually lead to more exposure and gradually more leads.
STEP 1: Set a strategy plan
Know what you want to achieve from your social media! Is it brand exposure? More leads? More contacts? Once you have discovered this then you have time to think of your target market and where they may be. For example, you may wish to aim for small businesses, the first platform to consider is Facebook as you will have access to groups of small business owners, who look for companies to work with and to work for.

STEP 2: Sign Up to social media
You have developed a strategy plan, now it’s time to get yourself on this platform to make yourself known. Please note that if you don’t intend on doing anything, then you are better off not being on there rather than having an account and not doing anything.
Set up the perfect profile. Fill out your profile to best it can be. Have clear profile images, well-written bio/description. Outline clearly what it is you do and who you do it for, e.g. We do account for small businesses…
First impressions do count on social media. People don’t want to extensively search for what it is you do.
STEP 3: Plan your content
“Content is KING” – Bill Gates. The content you post is very important. Tell people the useful information that they need to know. Social media users are always looking for new information to learn and current news about different industries. We believe in the philosophy of “Givers Gain”, give and you will get back. Setting different days of the week to post content is a great way to get started, post things during your morning cup of tea or whilst you’re waiting for a client. 10 minutes a day can go a long way.
